Welcome to BYOC Camps and Clubs

BYOC (Build Your Own Computer) Camps and Clubs is a part of the Academy for Technologists Extraordinaire (ATE), Inc, a 501(c)3 organization that develops extraordinary youth for STEM careers.

BYOC is a transformative youth and workforce development organization serving the Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana Tri-State region. We ignite a passion for technology in underrepresented youth through immersive year-round programs and hands-on summer camps. Our mission is clear and urgent: to build a robust pipeline of youth prepared to thrive in the tech industry.

We equip students with foundational and advanced skills across a wide spectrum of technology careers, including:

  • 💻 Computer and Electronics Engineering
  • 🧠 Computer Science and Information Technology
  • 🎨 Graphic Design and 3D Animation
  • 🎥 Multimedia Production
  • 🕹️ Game and Application Development
  • 🌐 Web Design and Development

Founded in 2014 by Robin Walker, a visionary IT professional and community leader, BYOC was born from the belief that youth are not just the future—they are the architects of it. Robin recognized that early exposure to technology is essential for all young people, regardless of their chosen career path, because tech will shape every field they enter.

At BYOC, we don’t just teach technology—we cultivate confidence, creativity, and career readiness. Our programs are more than preparation for the future; they are a launchpad for lifelong success.
